I took this picture in December 2025 at Blackwater NWR in Maryland. The beautiful owls were out at dusk and early in the morning.

I visited the Sax Zim Bog near Duluth, MN on one of the coldest weeks in 7+ years! It was -38 degrees! But, I had a great time - especially seeing this Northern Hawkl Owl up close.

Barred Owl (#6466)

A Beautiful Barred Owl appeared during a visit to the Alligator River in Manteo, NC. He/She sat for me for more than 30 minutes. Of course, I looked away at the moment they flew off!
